Singing

I have loved to sing since I was a little girl. I remember seeing Dolly Parton on TV and telling everyone, “That’s what I want to do”, because she was always singing, and she always looked happy and so did everyone that got to hear her sing.

I have a bit of a strange relationship with singing now in that I still love it as much as I always have, but I don’t always love performing. No, that’s not exactly it. I don’t love the anticipatory anxiety that pending performances brings on. I think I’m getting better at minimizing that. And why write songs if you’re not going to sing them to someone, right?
