Place

I lived in a little house in Livonia at that time and I had this round table by a big window where I sat to write. It had a really pretty tablecloth and my plants were there. And one day I was looking out the window, just letting my mind wander, and I stumbled upon the realization that I had a huge crush on Willow.

I slightly panicked for a couple reasons. First and foremost, she was not single at the time and I really wanted to be her friend. It felt like a betrayal of friendship in a way. Secondly, I just wasn’t ready to feel romantic about anyone. It wasn’t in my plan at the time so it came a bit out of left field.

I did what anyone would do and put the whole crush on the back burner where it belonged but it leaked out in a few songs before she found out how I felt.
