This song is simply expressing my feelings of inadequacy. I really liked Willow a lot but I felt I had nothing to offer as a partner at that time. I had been single for so long and I was very comfortable just focusing on myself and improving where I was able.

It is wonderful to have grown in this love, to feel that not only do I have a lot to give but that, even on days when I have nothing to give, I am worthy of love.

I would venture to guess that every time we feel that we are not enough, we are underestimating ourselves. Every one of us is absolutely deserving of good love.
