The Congress Hotel

Well it’s pretty clear that I would tell anyone who has the opportunity that they should visit Chicago. It’s a really cool city, but more on that later.

Before our trip, Willow and I had been talking about the Chelsea Hotel in New York and all the amazing songwriters who have stayed there. It has such a fascinating history. When she saw the Congress, it instantly reminded her of the Chelsea so she booked it to surprise me. I freaking loved it!

So, while you’re in Chicago, try to spend at least one night at the Congress Hotel. It’s SO FREAKING COOL!! Your room will be unique, and the entire public area of the hotel deserves exploration. It’s gorgeous and filled with historical items and information. It was a really magical part of our trip.

If you look way behind us, you can see the Congress Hotel. We were close to Lake Michigan where the picture was taken. It’s a really pretty area.

Our fits are a little wild here but don’t worry, y’all, we were just headed out for a late night safety meeting.
